The ideal candidate will have experience in a similar multiple region role managing Audit for Compliance and / or Financial Crime within a Wholesale Global Banking group in London.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Establish compliance with global audit standards for financial crime entities by managing and upholding risk assessments within the Fin. Crime and Compliance areas.
  • Offer SME and assistance in the financial crime and compliance risk strategy within group Audit, which includes developing necessary strategy documents.
  • Create an approach and guidance for evaluating financial crime and compliance risks, if needed, and oversee its implementation throughout group audit. Collaborate with relevant leadership teams to supervise the coverage of significant financial crime and compliance risks.
  • Ensure timely delivery of the audit plan and validation of issues related to financial crime and compliance while meeting KPIs.
  • Provide SME input for the audit scope and test programs, and offer continuous support and valuable challenges.
  • Ensure necessary skills are available to execute planned tasks effectively by recruiting, training, or co-sourcing as required.

Must haves:

  • Minimum of 15 years of experience in auditing within a banking regulated environment, with a significant focus on Compliance and Financial Crime.
  • ACAMS certification
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in in a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of corporate or investment banking operations.
  • String knowledge of banking FCA and PRU regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • UK VISA.
  • A professional certification in audit, risk management or Audit, such as IIA, ACA, ACCA or CFA.

Financial Crime Manager – Trade Finance and Corporate Banking.

Fleet Search are working for a global Corporate and Trade Finance Bank based in London (City), who are seeking a Financial Crime Manager, to support the new MLRO.

The position reports to the MLRO and has responsibility for two staff members.

As one of two Financial Crime Managers the post holder will have responsibility for the Financial Crime Advisory function for the Trade Finance business line with a focus on Sanctions. You’ll support & train staff members within the team and maintain an effective management reporting line.

It’s an interesting broad role covering as aspects of Financial Crime across the London branch, with a focus on sanctions within TF.

Work from home 1 day per week. With 4 days in the office.

Responsibilities

  • Lead financial crime including: Sanctions, FC regulations and legislation, AML, KYC, CDD, PEP, Fraud, Off boarding, ABC, Gifts & Hospitality, Country Risk Assessment, and Customer Risk Rating Methodology.
  • Deputise for the MLRO as nominated officer.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Strong technical financial crime and regulatory and legislative knowledge, including: Money Laundering, Terrorist Financing, Sanctions, Fraud, Bribery & Corruption, Facilitation of Tax Evasion and Modern Slavery.
  • Strong Trade Finance (Corporate Banking also considered) experience
  • UK Work Visa. The firm are unable to sponsor or support, student, dependant Tier 2,3,4 visas.

The successful candidate will have a Fin Crime, Sanctions, Fraud prevention and ABC advisory experience, gained from acting as a SME in a bank/financial institution.

EMEA lead Audit role in London for a Global Wholesale Banking Audit professional. This is a great position for someone who’s been a VP Auditor for a while with a large global Bank and now interested in gaining more senior exposure with a broader remit. There will be some committee work from time to time and the need to deputise for the Global Head of Compliance Audit (also based in London) alongside day to day Audit testing and fieldwork.

You will either have:

  1. Managed core Compliance / Financial Crime Audits or
  2. A variety of wholesale banking audit experience with a strong interest in moving into Compliance / Fin Crime Audit.

  • Expert understanding of UK Conduct of Business requirements which includes Retail Conduct Risk.

  • Experience managing and leading teams.

  • Minimum of four years current experience  in a regulatory function of a financial services organisation or large bank.

  • Knowledge of UK Financial Crime Regulations

Desirable:

  • A relevant qualification in either auditing / accounting (IIA, ACA, ACCA), Financial Crime (CAMS) or Compliance.
