c£50-75k+ No revenue hurdles, + profit share – Huntly, Scotland.
Our client, an award winning business offering traditional Advisory & Discretionary Investment Management  services to private clients, is seeking an experienced Investment Manager or Relationship Portfolio Manager for a Senior role in their Grampian team.

The role has become available due to a senior team member retiring and consequently there is no requirement to bring in new business as the role will take over an established book of clients. However, new client introductions would be welcomed.

This is an excellent career move for someone looking to relocate from a small owner managed house or a mid – large Investment Manager, Wealth Manager or Stockbroker looking for a smaller company environment where you will have autonomy to manage an established book of business within a group that respect an efficient, comprehensive and integrated approach to client suitability and management. In return you will be rewarded with an attractive remuneration package with no revenue based hurdles plus equity / profit share, and the potential to take on broader companywide responsibilities including risk management, P&L and staff management.

Working alongside a co-Investment Manager and supported by two trained staff, you will contribute to investment ideas and asset allocation policies through individual stock analysis and assessment of wider macro-economic instances, for both the branch and the firm’s investment committee.

Requirements:

  • Detailed knowledge of all aspects of investments and market sectors.
  • Be or seeking to be RDR securities qualified (level 4 CISI IAD; level 6 PCIAM or other equivalent accredited retail qualification relating to securities.
  • Positively contribute to investment ideas and asset allocation policies.
  • Be self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills and be able to communicate well with colleagues and clients alike.
  • Possess strong time management skills and the ability to prioritise workloads.
